As a world-class technical audio company, Fearless Audio has established a specialized digital R&D department in 2016 for the exploration and application of 3D printing technology in customized in-ear monitors. Provence: Rich and Detailed Hybrid IEM
The Provence is a 1 dynamic driver and 2 balanced armature driver hybrid in-ear monitor featuring Fearless Audioโs latest technological advancements. The Provence utilizes the new proprietary dynamic driver, the Fearless Special Research Pole-Magnetic Dynamic Driver. This powerful 10mm driver has been specially designed to focus on low frequency performance by minimizing distortion levels while enhancing membrane responsiveness through a strengthened magnetic tension. A unique compound material membrane also adds a rich texture to the low frequencies that cannot be replicated by other driver types.
The Provence also features two custom balanced armature drivers - one mid frequency driver and one ultra-high frequency driver - that was produced through cooperation between Sonion and Colorful World manufacturers. This special 2300 series driver produces extremely precise mid and high frequency details, and has been tuned for an accurate and well-balanced signature. The 2nd generation Colorful World ultra-high frequency driver has been fine tuned to remove any grainy textures in the upper treble regions, producing a crystal clear and high resolution treble playback. The utilization of this new balanced armature tweeter allows not only a detailed playback, but also an airy atmosphere and realistic soundstage.
The Provence is a 3 hybrid driver IEM with a 2 way crossover. Its sound signature can be characterized as rich and warm, with emphasis on a powerful bass and detailed trebles. With a more extended treble roll-off than the Barcelona, the Provence is perfect for professional studio and performance uses.
High Performance Cable
The Provence comes with an 8 strand ultra-pure oxygen-free copper (OFC) silver-plated litz cable. This high-performance grade cable was selected to best enhance the sound signature of the Provence . With its 0.78mm 2-pin termination and 3.5mm single-ended jack, it can also be switched with other cables or in-ear monitors.
