The packaging was cheap. Unlike the Moondrop Chu II, they did not come with a carrying bag. However, they did come with a variety of colored eartips, plus the red ones already on. The cable is cheap as well, and the housing plastic. Overall I would say they are a tier below the Chu IIs in terms of material quality and packaging. However, they do at least make up for that with the audio quality. I wouldn't necessarily call it "better", just different. They are deeper sounding with more emphasis on the bass and mids.
It's difficult to recommend them for a first IEM, I think the CHU IIs are still the better choice, but it's mostly up to personal preference to sound signatures if we ignore material/build/packaging quality.
