I bought this and a $30 2.5mm cable to try out balanced audio in order to get more out of my Shure SE846 IEMs. I had been using a stock 3.5mm unbalanced cable before and a few different USB-C DACs. Focusing on the balanced vs unbalanced sound, if that's what you're considering, I am very satisfied with the difference. Using 24/96 FLACs and TIDAL masters, I noticed a bigger soundstage and more isolation overall using this compared to the sound over the stock cable and even a much beefier amp. Quieter background parts leap out with remarkable clarity. It's very small and light, with an overall high-quality feel, but I'm a bit worried about the short cable guards. Software-wise, TIDAL had no problem detecting it and auto-selecting the proper format on my Mac, and ditto USB audio player pro on my android phone. The shipping updates page didn't work, but it arrived in just under 2 weeks.
