IMO the Mercury was the most overlooked iem for 2022. Bought my pair June 2022 in a completely blind buy. I’ve had these in moth balls for the last six months and dug them out today. I had moved on with a set of U12T and Oriolus Szalayi iems. Also the Xenns Up. Well, when I opened the case where my iems are stored I looked around and saw these and decided they had enough sleep. I am so happy I did that. The more I listen the more surprised I am with every aspect of these guys. If you go to Squiglink and look these up the graph gives these guys a ton of bass and a dive in the midranges. Yes, they do have bass but the mids are a bit forward and the treble stays controlled but delivers with air.
To my ears these are at least as good as the iems mentioned above. I paid $629.00 for these and a whole lot more for the others.
If ranking these the Oriolus Szalayi would be No. 1, the Open Audio Mercury No. 2, ahead of the U12T’s. The Xenns Up would be next.
Maybe I’m a bass head…I guess.
If you can audition these they will make a believer out of you, IMO.
Love these Mercurys!
