So I have had this for roughly two months now, and can honestly say I am past the honeymoon period and my verdict has landed: These are spectacular.
SOUND: After being somewhat disappointed by the Blessing 2: Dusk, I set out to find a replacement with a tuning more to my liking. Traditionally I listen to a wide variety of genres, but generally I am a fan of rhythm based music, so the midbass tuck from the Dusk was a bit too analytical for my taste. These however are much more engaging and fun. Thanks to the planars, the bass is super fast, so even if there are a lot of things going on in the song, you can still hear all the details! This is my first dive into planar IEMs, but I do believe these hit the sweet spot of being able to appeal to a wide variety of people. The bass is never overbearing. Very fun listen!
GAMING: I also use these for gaming, and as Fresh Reviews (on YouTube) has stated, these are amazing for it! I gravitate towards these more often than my more expensive Moondrop Variations, both because the soundstage seems wider, so you get more immersed into the game, as well as being able to pick up more details compared with the Variations. They are also miles ahead in terms of comfort! Much less intrusive fit, both on the nozzle and shell. I can have these in my ears for hours without feeling much strain.
CABLE: I feel it needs to be emphasized how lovely the cable is! This is my first time using a cloth cable, so that may partly why it feels so different to me. However, it can't be understated, the cable is SOFT and it has perhaps the least amount of microphonics out of any cable I have tried. This is honestly my favorite cable, even up against more expensive ones I own. I ended up trying to find where these were sourced, and the cable alone costs about 50 dollars, without the multiple determinations which this one comes with. Very good value.
CASE: The case is simple and perfectly compact. I use this case as my daily case for whenever I am out of the house.
All-in-all, I can't recommend these enough! In the grand scheme of "which planar IEM to get" I can't say whether the Tangzu Zetian Wu, Letshuoer S12, HBB Heyday or 7Hz Timeless are better offers, but these were very much worth the price, and I would buy them again!
