Building on the legendary 11mm dynamic driver of the Illumination, the ILLUSTRIOUS features advanced diaphragm materials, a refined magnetic circuit, and a re-engineered acoustic front cavity. These improvements result in a wider frequency response with extended treble smoothness, reduced nonlinear distortion for a more natural sound, and enhanced magnetic circuit efficiency for increased driver precision. These upgrades elevate the performance of the ILLUSTRIOUS, providing a clearer, more balanced listening experience.
TAC Diamond-Coated Dome Composite Diaphragm
The ILLUSTRIOUS adopts a cutting-edge TAC diamond-coated dome diaphragm, improving on the traditional LCP dome technology. The artificial diamond layer, with an SP3 bond stronger than DLC, enhances the rigidity and internal damping of the diaphragm, resulting in smoother treble extension with finer details. This diaphragm, coupled with a high-damping polyurethane suspension, minimizes distortion at high amplitudes, while the combination of three high-performance materials provides superior dynamic response and exceptional audio quality.
Precision-Engineered Front Cavity Acoustic Structure
Designed for professional accuracy, the ILLUSTRIOUS features a restructured front cavity that eliminates standing waves and reduces high-frequency diffraction. Reference-Standard Tuning with Ultra-Low Distortion
Meticulously tuned to align with the Diffuse-Field HRTF (Head-Related Transfer Function) standard, the ILLUSTRIOUS delivers a strictly neutral frequency response. With total harmonic distortion (THD) below 0.03%, the ILLUSTRIOUS provides near-zero bass coloration for true-to-source accuracy. This results in pure, natural sound reproduction with high-resolution playback fidelity. The reduced odd harmonic distortion, below 0.01%, ensures a clean and transparent listening experience, bringing out the finest details in your music.
